On this page, we
have listed a few
suggestions and
recommendations
with the objective
of making your
visit to Delhi for
attending a Boot
Camp more
successful, more
cost-effective and
more enjoyable.
Suggestions to
make you more
successful in the
Boot Camp:
1. Reserve your seat in the Boot Camp, as
early as possible.
If you register
well in advance,
you can request
for the first two
course books to be
couriered to you.
This will cost you
extra, but will
allow you to get
some basic
knowledge of the
subject before
arriving in India.
And give you a
head start in the
Boot Camp.
2. Be mentally
prepared to work
hard. Our students
typically study
for 3-4 hours
beyond the class
timings. We do
want you to
acquire as much
knowledge as
possible during
the time that you
are here.
3. Carry a laptop
with you (if
possible). This
will allow you to
connect to the
Internet and
practice exercises
in the Hotel Room.
You can also rent
a laptop for US $
7 per day.
4. If your
schedule permits,
book your return
flight a few days
after last date of
the Boot Camp.
This will allow
you to attempt any
missed exams and
to sightsee. It is
advisable to carry
an air-ticket in
which date change
is allowed.
Suggestions to
make the Boot Camp
even more cost
effective:
1. Go for multiple
certifications.
The cost of
air-travel will
divide over
several
certifications.
2. November,
December and
January are VERY
busy seasons for
incoming air
traffic to India.
Make your flight
reservations as
much in advance as
possible.
3. Check out the
best prices for
air-travel using
websites listed on
our Air Fares
page.
4. If you are in
need of any
medical procedure,
which is not
covered under your
medical insurance,
you can consider
getting it done
while you are in
India. Indian
doctors and
hospitals are
known for high
quality and low
cost treatment.
Many of our
students have
availed medical
services,
including dental
and eye
procedures, during
and after the Boot
Camp and are happy
with the results.
We can advise you
about specific
costs.
5. Plan a holiday
with your partner.
Several of our
participants bring
their partner with
them for the
entire or partial
stay. Some of them
go on a tour of
India after
finishing their
Boot Camps. Thus,
you can have a
wonderful holiday
in India at a
nominal extra
cost.
6. Send money
denominated in the
currency of your
country. We accept
payment in all
convertible
currencies
including UK
Pounds, Euros,
Australian Dollar,
Singapore Dollars,
Swiss Francs, Hong
Kong Dollars, most
currencies used in
Middle East. You
can save on
exchange rate
conversion charges
by making payment
in your country's
currency.
7. Computer Books
are very
inexpensive in
India. Typical
self learning and
exam preparation
books cost between
US$ 5 - US$ 15 .
It is a good idea
to buy these books
(if required)
after arriving in
India rather than
in your country.
Suggestions to
make your Boot
Camp even more
enjoyable:
1. Order the books
in advance and
study a little
before arrival
(shipping costs
$65 for first two
books if you are
in
USA/Europe/Australia/Asia/Japan
and $80 if you are
in Africa). This
way you will get
more time to enjoy
your visit to
India.
2. Invite your
partner for part
of the course
(preferably the
latter half when
you are finished
with the most
grueling part of
the Camp). You can
then enjoy a
pleasant holiday
even as you earn
an important
certification. We
can also offer
courses and other
activities for
your partner. This
includes Yoga
classes, training
on basics of
computing
(including MOS
certification),
music and dancing
classes, cooking
classes and
sightseeing tours.
3. Learn a little
about India before
arriving and tell
us what you find
interesting in
India so that we
can suggest how to
spend your spare
time.
Try out the Indian
cuisine, when in
India. It might
take you some time
to develop a taste
for it, but it is
worth the
experience !!!!
4. Indian food is
spicy and unless
eaten from
reliable sources
can lead to upset
stomachs. We
advise that you be
very conservative
about what you eat
in the first one
week. Once you
know how your
stomach is taking
to the Indian food
you can experiment
with the tempting
food options. It
is best to follow
advice of your
fellow students
and the Concierge
at the training
centre. The rule
of thumb is to
avoid anything
which looks
suspicious
(tempting as it
may be to your
taste buds) than
to fall sick for a
few days.
Hope you will find
our suggestions
useful and we look
forward to meeting
you soon. |
